1. What is the use of data consolidation?

Data Consolidation is used to gather together our data from separate worksheets into a master worksheet. 

2. Define Subtotal.

SUBTOTAL is used to total/add data arranged in an array i.e., a group of cells with labels for columns and/or rows. 

3. What is Scenario?

Scenarios are a tool to test “what-if” questions. It is essentially a saved set of cell values used for calculations 

4. What is Goal Seek?

Goal seeking is the process of finding the correct input value when only the output is known. 

5. What is Solver?

Solver is a more elaborate form of Goal Seek.  It deals with equations with multiple unknown variables. It is specifically designed to minimize or maximize the result according to a set of rules that has been defined.

6.  Define cell reference.

A cell reference refers to a cell or a range of cells on a worksheet and can be used to find the values or data that we want the formula to calculate. 

7. Name the ways in which we can create reference to a sheet.

The ways in which we can create reference to a sheet are by mouse and by keyboard. 

8. What is the use of hyperlink in Calc?

Hyperlinks are used in Calc to jump to a different location from within a spreadsheet and can lead to other parts of the current file, to different files or even to web sites. 

9. What is the difference between absolute hyperlink and relative hyperlink?

An absolute hyperlink will stop working only if the target is moved while A relative hyperlink will stop working only if the start and target locations change relative to each other. 

10. State the advantages of sharing a spreadsheet.

Advantages of sharing a spreadsheet are

·         Speed up data entry as Multiple people can enter data in the spreadsheet simultaneously

·         Simply make things easier for collaboration purposes.

 

11. Explain Macro.

Macros help in saving time in cases when the same set of tasks are to be done repeatedly like formatting or applying a similar formula in a similar range of data. It can be used to name and record a set of actions or set of actions.
